Jack Hamilton

My name is Jack Hamilton, and I started this organization because of something simple—I had a lot of sports cards. I’ve collected cards for as long as I can remember, and over the years I ended up with boxes of extras that I didn’t really need. Instead of letting them sit around, I wondered if they could make someone else smile.

In 2022, when I was 12, a local mentor suggested I donate some of those cards to the 3rd Street Community Church’s annual Christmas Shop event. I hand-sorted, organized and assembled small packs from my own collection and from cards donated by friends and family. I didn’t know what to expect, but when I handed them out, the reactions from the kids and parents were unforgettable. Their excitement and joy showed me that something as small as a pack of sports cards could make a real impact.

That moment changed everything for me.

Each year since then, I’ve tried to grow the idea—more packs, more kids, more ways to give back. What started with leftover cards has turned into something much bigger. Today, we reach out to collectors all across the United States who donate cards to help support the mission. So far, I estimate I’ve given away more than 150,000 individual trading cards, and every single one has been hand-sorted and packed with care.

I’m only 16, but I’ve learned that you don’t have to be an adult to make a difference. You just have to start. My goal is to support local youth, spread kindness, and show kids that they matter—one pack at a time.
